I dunno. I believe we need to use the 25th Amendment, but I still don't believe in de-platforming now. Too little too late. Should have been done years ago, but can't help but inflame people now. We actually ARE a 50-50 country of voters. We may have more raw citizens on our side, but why don't they vote? It's our job to educate, and to get out the vote.

Francine, we’ve done nothing but vote the last four years, resulting in a flipping of the house and the Senate and the presidency in record voter turn outs each time. Not to mention the fact that those Dems represent millions more people with those majorities, due to gerrymandering on one hand, and the archaic cap on the size of the House and archaic very idea of the Senate and “equal” representation (and what a joke that’s become). Absolutely we can’t let our foot off the gas and there’s still tremendous upside still to be gained...exactly because we’re not a 50-50 country.

The reason i think it’s damaging to let any 50-50 narrative go unchallenged or without context is because it disproportionately inflates a sense of righteousness or a sense of helplessness. Which reinforces the state we’re in, I think.

I so agree that the 25th is more than called for (and 0% likely to happen) and I also agree that de-platforming was loooong overdue. Not sure I agree that it’s too late I get your point about inflaming, but I kind of feel like a particular segment is at maximum inflammation and any incremental inflammation is offset by finally doing the right thing. I don’t know.
