That was a brilliant album. Every so often it comes up in my shuffle of favorite music and I admire anew how insightful the songs on that album are. Thanks for a great post!
I love TFF to this day. Saw them live once in the past decade, and they were still absolutely stellar. Not many artists can boast such a strong 3-album introduction to the world: The Hurting, Songs from the Big Chair, and Seeds of Love.
They released an album in the last couple of years, The Tipping Point, and it's also pretty great. I just went and looked at a list of their albums, and there's really not a bad one in the bunch.
I may go on a TFF listening marathon this afternoon :)
